Our VAT mat is fitted with four low-frequency transducers. The frequency, embedded in its accompanying music, are transferred to the body. During the session, you can choose to use the headphones to benefit from the embedded binaural beats for brain entrainment. Those who are prone to seizures should not use binaural beats. You can find more information on BB here and on the internet before use.

The mat is placed upon the reiki table (see pictures below). It's thick, contoured, and very comfortable. During the session, you'll be listening to, and feeling, the frequencies that best fits your needs. Of course, you do not need to listen to the music if you don't want to.

For deeper healing:

Some of our frequencies are also in a video format. For example, while you're listening to the sound of a waterfall, you could watch the screen above you, showing a waterfall.

We also offer a form of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) during sessions. For example, one would watch the screen while they repeat their affirmation during session. It is believed this will help better instill and set the affirmation into your being. For a sampling, please click the YouTube video below, Chakra Clearing Manifest Your Dreams.

Here's a sample of the kind of videos you could use during a VAT session. This one includes spiritual frequencies and an EMDR-like screen for healing.

Who should not use the Vibroacoustic mat:

Individuals with Pacemakers

People with very low blood pressure

People with a DVT

Bleeding disorder

Recent surgery

Acute inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis

Individuals who have had a recent psychotic episode

See Steve's reaction to his first experience on the VAT mat.

With his permission, here are Steve's words from Facebook, sharing his experience.

I’m sharing a video of my first experience with a Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT) mat on the Reiki table at Soulspirational Wellness Center. The VAT mat, along with headphones playing binaural beats, as well as a projector playing a video on the ceiling, gave a full sensory experience…but the VAT mat itself brought me fully into the body.

I felt like I became the salt/sand on the table in those viral videos where a guy pours salt/sand on a table and then runs tools along the rim to cause vibrations, that cause the salt/sand to form sacred geometry patterns. My body just became one and shifted around, and it was divine.

There are several different frequencies that can be chosen, including some that produce a “rolling” effect on the mat, to where it feels like a rolling massage is happening up and down your body.

Sound and frequencies are something that draw me in, and this was an experience that left me feeling melting. Seriously.

If you’re local to the area, reach out to Tish Niedzwiecki at Soulspirational to find out how you can experience it too!

Sound Healing, through various techniques and technologies, is the educated and conscious use of the energy of sound to reach identified goals and promote wellness in the human system – including the expansion of consciousness. Sound Healing is founded on the premise that all matter is vibrating at specific frequencies. Science has proven that sound, or vibration, has a strong impact upon substance. For example, the study of Cymatics has shown how sound creates geometric patterns in matter. Dr. Emoto has proven that sound changes the molecular structure of water. However, more importantly, sound changes consciousness. Many ancient civilizations and modern indigenous cultures have used sound to heal and access higher levels of consciousness for thousands of years.

Sound in Form

The truth is that sound creates a dynamic mandala-like pattern in every water molecule of your entire body. And, since your body is 60% water, the effect on your whole system is dramatic. In fact, your entire body (especially your skin) is actually an ear. When you consider the findings of Dr. Emoto, which prove that your intention changes the structure of water, then it becomes clear how sound and intention can create extraordinary changes in your body and consciousness.

Cymatics, the study of wave phenomena, is a science pioneered by Swiss medical doctor and natural scientist, Hans Jenny (1904-1972). For 14 years he conducted experiments animating inert powders, pastes, and liquids into life-like, flowing forms, which mirrored patterns found throughout nature, art and architecture. What’s more, all of these patterns were created using simple sine wave vibrations (pure tones) within the audible range.
