Scientific Benefits for Anxiety Reduction:
Stress Relief: VAT utilizes soothing vibrations to trigger the body's relaxation response, helping to alleviate stress and anxiety.
Cortisol Regulation: VAT has been shown to regulate cortisol levels, the hormone responsible for the body's stress response, resulting in a calmer and more balanced state of mind.
Heart Rate Variability: Engaging with VAT can lead to improved heart rate variability, a marker of resilience to stress and enhanced emotional regulation.
Neurotransmitter Balance: VAT may assist in balancing neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine, contributing to improved mood and emotional well-being.
Scientific Benefits for Pain Management:
Pain Reduction: Vibrations delivered during VAT sessions can stimulate the body's natural pain-relief mechanisms, offering relief from chronic pain conditions.
Muscle Relaxation: The gentle vibrations help release muscle tension and promote relaxation, leading to decreased discomfort and pain.
Enhanced Blood Circulation: VAT's rhythmic vibrations encourage blood flow, aiding in the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to tissues, facilitating healing.
Nerve Stimulation: VAT's vibrations may stimulate sensory nerves, leading to the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers.
Benefits for Spiritual Practices:
Mind-Body Connection: VAT promotes a heightened awareness of the mind-body connection, facilitating deeper introspection and mindfulness during spiritual practices.
Enhanced Meditation: The soothing vibrations can create an optimal environment for meditation, helping practitioners reach a deeper state of focus and tranquility.
Chakra Alignment: Many spiritual traditions believe in energy centers or chakras within the body. VAT's vibrations can aid in aligning and balancing these energies.
Subtle Energy Flow: VAT's gentle vibrations may promote the flow of subtle energies throughout the body, aligning with various spiritual philosophies.

See Steve's reaction to his first experience on the VAT mat.
I’m sharing a video of my first experience with a Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT) mat on the Reiki table at Soulspirational Wellness Center. The VAT mat, along with headphones playing binaural beats, as well as a projector playing a video on the ceiling, gave a full sensory experience…but the VAT mat itself brought me fully into the body.
I felt like I became the salt/sand on the table in those viral videos where a guy pours salt/sand on a table and then runs tools along the rim to cause vibrations, that cause the salt/sand to form sacred geometry patterns. My body just became one and shifted around, and it was divine.
There are several different frequencies that can be chosen, including some that produce a “rolling” effect on the mat, to where it feels like a rolling massage is happening up and down your body.
Sound and frequencies are something that draw me in, and this was an experience that left me feeling melting. Seriously.
If you’re local to the area, reach out to Tish Niedzwiecki at Soulspirational to find out how you can experience it too!
Sound Healing, through various techniques and technologies, is the educated and conscious use of the energy of sound to reach identified goals and promote wellness in the human system – including the expansion of consciousness. Sound Healing is founded on the premise that all matter is vibrating at specific frequencies. Science has proven that sound, or vibration, has a strong impact upon substance. For example, the study of Cymatics has shown how sound creates geometric patterns in matter. Dr. Emoto has proven that sound changes the molecular structure of water. However, more importantly, sound changes consciousness. Many ancient civilizations and modern indigenous cultures have used sound to heal and access higher levels of consciousness for thousands of years.
